Westlime has just completed the installation and commissioning of their new Primary Crushing Plant. This will further increase efficiencies and continue to ensure that their products are of superior quality.
Road Train Access to Westlime
Approval has been given by Parkes Shire Council and the Roads and Traffic Authority for Road-train access to Westlime. Access to dispatch is from London Road via the newly constructed Westlime Road and Condobolin Road.
Westlime Road was a joint venture between Parkes Shire Council and Westlime. The new road will not only benefit Westlime and their customers but also freight companies with access to the west and the local community, as the road will form the first stage of the future Parkes heavy vehicle by-pass.
Westlime Commence Bulk Bag Dispatching
Today, Westlime commenced lime and dolomite sales and dispatch of Bulk Bags. Westlime will supply their product throughout NSW and VIC. A recent load was sent to Sydney for Soil Conditioning in market gardening.
Alternative Access Nearing Completion
Roadworks are now nearing completion. London Road has been sealed to 9 metres in width and the link between the Brolgan and Condobolin Roads also sealed. This access should be available by early October.
Westlime Signed Sealed and Delivered
The entry road from London Road to the weighbridges and offices has now been sealed, again improving access and keeping trucks clean.
Westlime Proud to Sponsor the CWCFA
Though recently established, Westlime has already demonstrated its commitment to the Central West farming community through sponsorship of the Central West Conservation Farming Association (CWCFA). Westlime supplied a load of lime as a door prize at the CWCFA’s annual seminar in February, and has donated lime for research purposes to the Gennaren Hill Land Care Group, west of Peak Hill. The Managing Director of Westlime was raised on the land, and acknowledges the contribution of grass roots farming to regional and national agricultural research.
Triple the Growth
Martin Gleeson of Orange, purchased Westlime’s Quality Fine Agricultural Lime and conducted his own trial by spreading it on one of his two oats paddocks, prior to sowing. The limed paddock has achieved a remarkable result, and at this early stage has achieved at least triple the growth under exactly the same conditions. Mr Gleeson contacted Westlime to report what he believes is an incredible result.
